What sets our services apart?

Our counselors and leadership team are dedicated to helping communities as all of our staff have lived experience with homelessness, mental health, substance use, and experience with the criminal justice system. Our organization is built on the testimonies of those who identify and reflect the population we serve. Our organization’s culture has led to the success rates of our counselors who don’t focus on checking the boxes but always seeking ways to improve individuals health, safety, and overall wellbeing.

Our organization focuses on ensuring services include cultural equity, diversity, and inclusion to prevent bias. We believe in treating every individual receving services with dignity and respect regardless of their past decisions. Our organization provides Client Experience Surveys (CES) to all participants (monthly) with questions that focus on participants experience with the service delivery to ensure quality and equity. Many contracted agencies provide services but rarely provide transparent service reviews for the vulnerable populations they serve. This can often lead to individuals experiencing oppression and bias services. CES is designed to help bridge services towards transparency.

Our counselors and leadership team are dedicated to helping individuals with risk-assessments and outcome review tools to help individuals recover and become sufficient by “meeting individuals where they are at.” A boots to the ground approach that will provide services in their home, in jail, or in their cars. Our organization’s reputation is found in the testimonies of individuals, families, and communities that our services have impacted throughout Lake County and surrounding areas. Our organization’s family-oriented culture has led to the success rates of our participants because we do not focus on checking the boxes but consistently seek out ways to improve and expand services to improve health, safety, and overall wellbeing for every individual seeking support no matter who they are are where they are at in life.

“The way you counseled the meetings really made me think of my actions…since class, I have not drunk and drove. I have recently kicked the habit of drinking all together a few months ago. I want you to know that it’s people like yourself who really touch other peoples lives, and though it may not seem it makes a huge difference, it did in my life.” – Michael C.
